Terms & Conditions – Pet Grooming Services

Last Updated: 12/01/2026

These Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) set out the agreement between the pet grooming service provider (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the pet owner or authorised representative (“you”, “your”). By booking an appointment or using our pet grooming services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Services

We provide professional pet grooming services by appointment only. Services may include bathing, drying, brushing, clipping, trimming, nail care, and other grooming treatments as discussed at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue any service if it is deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or not in the best interest of the pet’s welfare.

2. Appointments and Bookings

All grooming appointments are subject to availability and may require a deposit or full payment in advance. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide accurate information about the pet at the time of booking, including breed, age, temperament, coat condition, and any medical or behavioural concerns.

We reserve the right to adjust appointment times where necessary and will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any changes.

3. Cancellations, Late Arrivals, and No-Shows

Cancellations must be made within the timeframe stated at the time of booking. Late cancellations or failure to attend an appointment may result in the loss of any deposit or full payment.

Late arrivals may result in a shortened service or cancellation of the appointment without refund if the groom cannot be completed safely or properly within the remaining time.

4. Payments

Payment is due as agreed at the time of booking or upon completion of the service. Accepted payment methods will be communicated in advance. Prices may vary depending on the pet’s size, coat condition, temperament, or service requirements.

5. Refunds

Refunds are not automatically provided for completed pet grooming services. Any refund request must be submitted in accordance with our Refund Policy. Pet owners must contact us directly and provide relevant evidence to support the request. Refunds will only be considered where services were not carried out with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

6. Owner Responsibilities

You are responsible for disclosing all relevant information relating to your pet, including medical conditions, allergies, injuries, behavioural issues, history of aggression, or anxiety. Failure to disclose relevant information may result in refusal of service or limitation of liability.

You confirm that your pet is fit to be groomed and that all vaccinations, treatments, and parasite controls are up to date where required.

7. Behaviour and Handling

We reserve the right to use humane and appropriate handling techniques to ensure the safety and welfare of the pet and staff. If a pet shows aggressive, distressed, or unsafe behaviour, we may stop the grooming session immediately. In such cases, no refund may be issued for work already carried out.

8. Coat Condition and Humane Grooming

Severely matted coats may require clipping for the pet’s comfort and welfare. We will not cause unnecessary stress or pain to the pet. Owners acknowledge that dematting can be stressful and may result in coat clipping where necessary.

9. Health, Safety, and Welfare

The welfare of the pet is our priority. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue grooming if continuing would pose a risk to the pet’s health or safety. In the event of a medical emergency, we will take reasonable steps to contact the owner or seek veterinary care if necessary.

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or injury caused by negligence or for any matter that cannot be excluded under UK law. Subject to this, our liability is limited to the cost of the grooming service provided.

11. Complaints

Complaints must be raised directly with us within a reasonable timeframe following the grooming appointment. We aim to resolve all complaints fairly and promptly.

12. Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
